Blush Corp: Portrait: Corporal Conundrum

Finally got Corporal Conundrum's portrait up. Sorry it took so long what with finals and heading back to WA. Decided to just have line work behind him that went similar to how I did his hair. Anyways that's it for this portrait series. Stay tuned for my series of Kisho's Guardians! It's a series of six. Also as more Blush Corp characters get more refined in that universe I'll probably add them up here.

Old Work: Original Character: Horus II

This was originally the design for an element of a multi block woodblock print I did in the middle of this spring semester. I saw this tracing paper element that I transferred to my block and had to put it up here. I also added a little feathery background courtesy of: http://rockgem.deviantart.com/
This bird is my character Horus II the son of the Egyptian god Horus. He is a peregrine falcon. Normally I draw him in his more human form but for the project I was doing I wanted to make him more of an icon rather than a figure since his lover Naomi was the central subject in the original piece.
I think I will use this block again though for possibly an invitation or card. It's a solid image. What's funny is I came up with this before realizing I really do like working more graphic with that silhouette feel. I think with the rest of my art I have overcomplicated things a little too much. Anyways always feel free to add your constructive thoughts and feelings on the things you see.

Blush Corp: Portrait: Subtlety

Sorry this one took a bit longer to get up. This is Subtlety's portrait. I have decided like with Retna Burn to use parts of her face make up as the indication for the background. Scanned in and background done in Photoshop. Stay tuned for Corporal's portrait!

Blush Corp: Portrait: Retna Burn

Here is Retna Burn's closer portrait. She likes shiny things. I once again had fun playing with the background but used one of the silly star brushes in Photoshop messing a bit with the brush presets to get it to do what I want. I like how each time I start experimenting a little bit more in with Photoshop's tools. I still eventually want to create logos for each character in Blush Corp and may rework the background in the future to something more like Blush's portrait.

Blush Corp: Portrait: Lady Blush

I am now working on experimenting with using the silhouette with a face. I started this series as usual with Blush. Expect more to come with the other four Blush Corp characters. Also I played with patterning putting the Blush Corp logo I created behind her as a pattern. Done with ink and Photoshop.
